Chase 54 is best known for its fabric. The company is at the cutting edge of developing material that can be transported to the golf course. Chase 54 creates its own fabric, one reason it can offer the most stylish and usable apparel. You’ll find eye-pleasing patterns in both the men’s and women’s lines.

The high quality micropoly material is made with the latest technological developments that were created to keep you comfortable on the course. This is not only true for temperature maintenance to keep you warm or cool, but also to move with your body and offer full mobility.

The technology includes:

• Dryfuze, a wicking technology that takes moisture from your skin to the exterior of the clothing.
• Climafuze, which keeps you warm when the temperatures are cold.
• Ultrafuze, a high-performance outerwear with high-gauge knit that protects you from wind and water, but does interfere with playing ability.
• Greenfuze, the sort of environmental materials that are friendly for players and the earth.

A variety of factors ensure the durability of the apparel. There is topstitching at the seams to ensure reinforcement. The clothing is lightweight and offers a UPF rating of 50-plus to provide protection from the sun. The idea is that if you feel good, you’ll play better.

I tried a shirt from the Kennedy line. The blue shirt was neither fitted or baggy and appropriate to wear away from the course. My favorite touch was the perforated laser cut around the collar, which offers additional ventilation around the neck.

The shorts I tried were from the Kolton line. These come with deep front pockets, which make it easy to carry a smartphone and a money clip. The back pockets are big enough to hold those wide-bodied scorecards or yardage books that many guys like to have handy on the course. A nice touch is the right back pocket, which is waterproofed in case carry your wallet back there or if you want to cram a bottle of water or a sports drink back there on a warm day.

Chase 54 makes short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirts, jackets, sweaters and T-shirts for men and women. The women’s line also includes skirts, dresses, capris and pants.
