Georgia Tech, Georgia have a chance at NCAA Men’s Championship

The Georgia Tech and University of Georgia men are definitely in the mix to win the NCAA Championships at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.

Georgia Tech was ranked No. 6 in the last poll by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The Yellow Jackets are led by seniors Ollie Schniederjans and Anders Albertson, who won the ACC Championship last month and has been the team’s best player this spring.

Georgia is strong at the top of the order with Lee McCoy, the No. 2 ranked amateur in the world, and Mookie DeMoss.

The 36 teams will play 54 holes of stroke play. The top eight teams advance to match play, with quarterfinals and semifinals played on Tuesday and the finals on Wednesday.
