Bohn close again — takes second in Mexico

thumb_Bohn_Jason_15BARIt was another close encounter for Acworth’s Jason Bohn at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

Bohn shot a 68 in the final round, which was delayed because of weather, to get in a three-way playoff with Graham McDowell and Russell Knox. G-Mac birdied the first extra hole and won the tournament, his first victory since the 2013 Heritage.

Bohn has played well in all four starts this season. He tied for third at the Frys.com Open and tied for second a week later at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He was 39th at the Sanderson Farms Championship. It’s the first time in his career that Bohn has three top-10s over a four-start stretch.

The University of Alabama alum has finished second in seven tournaments since his last win at the 2010 Zurich Classic in New Orleans.

Bohn cleaned up on the par 5s with eight birdies, two eagles and two pars. He was 12-under on the par 5s.
